Promoting positive community and economic growth in Brooklyn's Neighborhoods Tanya moved to Brooklyn in 2007 immediately after graduating from the George Washington University Law School in Washington DC. She started Dwyer Law Firm when the financial crises hit Brooklyn in 2009 to help protect real estate assets from devaluation and liquidation. To date Tanya has protected more than $35 million in real assets for New York property owners. She’s familiar with local zoning boards, neighborhood associations, and investment opportunities around Brooklyn. Tanya gave a TED Talk in 2016 about promoting positive community and economic growth.  During her TED Residency she worked with  Brooklyn residents, Wall Street stakeholders, and policymakers  to create an economic plan that could be mutually beneficial for Brooklyn's investors, property managers, and residents.  Her TED Talk explains the premise for this development strategy. In her free time, Tanya enjoys playing upright bass, reading futurist ideas on water, and searching farmers markets for new additions to her garden.
