The City of Phoenix defines Downtown as the area between 7th Street and 7th Avenue, from McDowell Road on the north to Buckeye Road on the south. The Phoenix Central Library is close by, as well as Heard Museum of the American Indian Art and History, and the Phoenix Art Museum. The new light rail system makes it accessible and easy to explore. Numerous festivals, marathons, parades and other events throughout the year on the streets of Downtown Phoenix, and all of this within 10 minutes of Sky Hartbor International Airport.
