Spring and fall Festival of the Arts draws tens of thousands to Downtown Tempe. ASU’s Gammage Auditorium, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, seats 3,000 and hosts first-class productions. The Nelson Fine Arts Center has excellent collections of early American, Mexican and ceramic arts, Rio Salado Town Lake and Tempe Beach Park adjacent to boat tours/rentals. Tempe is home to ASU’s Sun Devils and host to the Buffalo Tostitos Bowl and Anaheim Angels for SpringTraining.
